What should I expect when i visit The PromiseLand?

Music that moves the soul unites generations in vibrant worship as we celebrate our Savior together.

With something for everyone, our anointed worship leaders serve up an eclectic potpourri of upbeat praise, awe – inspiring worship anthems, edgy rock, gospel and the occasional refreshing splash from the trusty old hymnal. It’s a mix that belongs in Austin! If you just love to sit and listen, we’ll save you a seat. But if you feel like tapping your toe, raising a hand or standing to your feet in honor of the King, you will never be alone.  You might even want to join the young folks jumping around in front!

Maybe you’re really coming for the message. Great! We enjoy a wide variety of faith – filled, prophetic and exciting preaching styles; from the deep, soul stirring messages of Bishop Kenneth Phillips, to wildly faith – building and powerfully practical presentations from other staff pastors and guest speakers. If variety really is the spice of life, we’ve got it!

Just need to see a smiling face?

We’ve got hundreds of those! Come shake a hand, or cry on a shoulder. That’s what we’re here for. Preparing for your first visit to any church is bound to raise some questions. How do I get there? What should I wear? What’s available for my kids? So, here are a few more details. See you soon!

 How do I get there?

Head east on 51st St. from IH – 35 about a mile. We’re the big, beautiful campus directly across from the Dell Children’s Hospital. See the map below!

What should I wear?

We’re more concerned with meeting your real life needs than with what you wear. Some folks love to spiff up for Jesus in their Sunday best, others will dress in casual weekend attire; so come how you’re comfortable and you’ll fit right in!

 What's available for my kids?

When you come on Sunday morning, send all your munchkins aged Pre – K through 12th Grade with our friendly, capable Sunday school staff. Then, sit back, relax and enjoy the service with the peace of mind that comes from knowing your whole family is in good hands. We also have a nursing mother’s suite, where you can stay in touch with the service via CCTV while rocking that little one in a comfortable chair. Just let a friendly usher or hostess know the ages of your children and they will help you find the right class for each child. They will have loads of fun while learning about the bible and the love of Christ.

What should I do until service starts?

If you feel like a little treat would kick your off day right, stop by our bookstore and Kolony’s Korner (just ask anybody to point you in the right direction!) for great buys and an inexpensive cup of tasty freshly brewed coffee, a bottle of juice and a pastry to wake up your senses before worship begins. All first time guests receive a free drink of your choice from our coffee shop! These services will also be available for your convenience immediately following the worship experience. Please make sure to fill out a visitor card before you leave. Any usher or hostess will be glad to provide you with one. This is our way to communicate with you. We won’t single you out during the service or show up at your door unexpected. This card is our way of getting to know you better and is also our future link to letting you know what is happening at the PromiseLand. You can fill out as much information as you feel comfortable giving, then turn it in during offering or drop it off at the bookstore on your way out!

We’d love for you to stop by the bookstore!

Before you leave, stop by to meet a few more friendly folks, buy a candle or two, or pick up a DVD of the service. Most of all, please ask us for anything you need to make your visit the best hour of the week!
